Dithering in ether

ceasing disbelief, the stone
of logic rolls aside
our broken grasp gives faith
a flying chance as artist
split-timed trapeze
decrees no second
fall, no safety net

on singing wings, the skylark's
risen faithfully to blend
again with heaven - we take
communion and wait

Title taken from Ted Hughes’ poem: Skylarks

Joining De’s quadrille with paschal prompt: Rise – and also planting this in the Imaginary Garden’s Tuesday Platform

  1. “on singing wings, the skylark’s risen faithfully to blend again with heaven,” .. I love the poignancy of this image! 💜
