What a great double take, Laura. I used to take that bridge to visit cardboard city under the bridge, at night… very long ago.
I will always think then of following in your footsteps Marina when crossing here – though cardboard city has gone and is dispersed across many London streets (as in most cities)
I remember… they had started doing that when I was there. Been chased by a bobby for photographing them kicking out some homeless. Pretended to be a tourist who liked their suits and saved my camera and film!
yes that was nearby Waterloo bridge’s ‘the bullring’. Some ‘residents’ were rehomed so not such a bad ending for them
