A wintery day in Postman’s Park, in the city of London and how bereft the fountain looks. It’s water struggling to rise against the cold, and falling disconsolately through all the bearded folds of moss. It was these textures though that caught my eye and in black & white convey the mood most clearly.
One for Monochrome Monday
Gorgeous shot.
thank you Selma – has much more impact in monochrome
Beautifully captured …especially those textures!
such an unattractive sight but it somehow appealed – thanks Marina
The “shooter’ makes it very attractive! 😉
Now that is praise indeed being one of the cleverer aspects of photography – thank you Marina

The leaves against the metal lines and grid are wonderful. (K)
the more I look at this photo the more I appreciate the scatter pattern of the leaves – like a Busby Berkeley chorus line 😉
Dour day for the fountain perhaps. But I’m off celebrating with the leaves, us happy folk.
I need a button more joyous than merely “like”.
and I need a button that says more than just thank you!
