Slightly old hat now the decorative Pampas grasses of Cortaderia selloana from South American prairies have fallen out of favour not least because of their thuggish invasiveness, the sharp cutting stems and their darker reputation as signalling a swinger’s residence.
I just thought they looked good in the high contrast lighting of a late afternoon, growing adjacent to a farmhouse and stud farm. Say no more!
Besides, it’s that time of year when grass flowers are at their golden best – Hello Autumn!
