Since I bounce my creative tendencies from photos to poems and poems to photos, there must be a middle point and so I’ve made it here:
“I followed the words into a figurative space where they invited me to get lost. I’m never able to get quite as lost as I want to but with each poem I get a little closer
For my dVerse Meeting the Bar prompt of poetry craft and critique, ‘to turn again, about turn again’ we are employing the device of ‘epiphora/epistrophe’ which makes use of consecutive end line repeats of words or phrases. The optional extra is ‘Symploce’ – a consecutive repeat of first and final words.
Since ‘epiphora’ is also a medical term for excess tear production, I have given the poem a sad theme.
I rarely write in regular meter but perhaps it was an effect from this mesmerizing moon that Carrie has offered up to prompt our Sunday Muse
