The red bull of Hueva

The red bull literally jumped out at me after I created this digital abstract. Although abstraction is intended to be non-representational it cannot be totally removed from the substantial world – rather it is also seeing familiar things in a new way.

Learning how to take complex subjects and simplify them down to abstract forms… Seeing basic patterns amongst the “noise”; seeing basic forms amongst the complex; seeing the few important details which convey the majority of meaning.
Picasso took it a step further by adding the mythical bull between the realistic and abstract depictions. Perception is what allows everyone to experience the world in a unique way…

  1. Nope, don’t see it, not me, not if I was locked up in a room alone. Well, maybe That, but it’s a stretch. I do see a dolphin and many birds, and I think it’s bedtime now. Thanks for confusing me, even though it don’t take much. (and did you identify the jest in the middle of this mess of mine?)
