“…The ray of sunlight splits through the tree’s
Green leaves and will keep shining on this bench
When I am gone and when the tree is gone
And when this bench is gone
And when you are gone.
Yes, I will come back here.
If I wait long enough before my return….”
Sunday Sayings: title and poetry extract from Jack Jung’s “Park Bench” though my photo is from the David Austin roses garden and posted for Jude’s Sunday Bench Challenge Anniversary

Very elegant benches. I probably have that shot, but with people sitting on the benches. I wonder why the wellies are there? They look too clean for the gardener!
And a lovely snippet of the poem. I am imagining myself sitting on a bench with the dappled sunlight through the branches of a tree hitting my face.
the wellies were a good fit for the poem and empty benches- I will now keep my camera eye out for more seats for your Sunday Jude
I love the sense of time and the idea of returning to the space.
Thank Paul – exactly – the boots denote a return to this space
The title alone is perfection. And something we should all remember about everything around us. (K)
memorable words from the poet Kerfe- my wood furniture creaks like a tree sometimes as reminder
