Not just the eponymous Wilder film of 1959 but plants from the tropics. It’s a joy to be able to see them here in the Waterlily House at Kew. I love the sweaty steamy environs too but the camera mists just when taking the shot so technicalities for my pocketable Ricoh GRiii were challenging. I managed these few glimpses.

Better still, CKOH photography has a wealth of wonderful and comprehensive images from her Kew Gardens visit

Wow, Laura – that first shot 🤩. So light & bright, and so clear & tack-sharp, free from the fog we encountered in the Waterlily House. Stunning! Wish I had taken one from that side of the pond instead of fleeing the place as soon as my lens started to fog up…
I was after the architecture as much as the plants and I often wish the place was deserted but actually the people do add to the photo
And thanks for the link!
I just had to show how its done!
I noticed last year that they had moved some of the giant water lilies into the Princess Diana Conservatory.
skipped that one this time round so missed them
That looks like a wonderful place. I love waterlilies. (K)
its one of the best London has to offer – in my gardener’s opinion
These are lovely. I was just at the public garden this morning photographing water lilies.
