On the peninsula of Rame Head in Cornwall, the little chapel is a beacon of light, of faith and fortitude. Built on a Celtic hermitage in the 14th century, St Michael’s lies in ruins at the tipping edge of sea, with the wind and the birds for company. Sturdy pilgrims and keen walkers make the climb but for old bones it is a step too far so we stop for silent prayer on these benches.
Especially for Jude in her recent bereavement and joining with her in spirit for her Sunday Bench challenge

I know this spot. This is Graham’s family territory.
a brilliant spot – I might yet bump into you around here then since I’m a fairly regular visitor
We’ve not been for ages. Perhaps we can rally ourselves.
when all the building work is done maybe!
I have never been to the Rame peninsula. I did have it ear-marked for a short break next year, but that probably won’t happen now. I think I would have stopped on one of the benches and simply admired the view.
perhaps it’s further into the future visit Jude when things are not so raw x
