To the “Clown in the Moon” ~ Dylan Thomas
I've wallowed.
In your wake, raked ashes
Grey and goose winged to a full plumed moon
Towering
Words you honed from old charms
The lapsed scent of sweet raisins in snow
Magical
Melodies you intoned
Singing the sands on that bare foreshore
I have drenched
My ears in your echoes
Clamour of gulls and the sabbath bell
For Lisa’s Poetic prompt: Getting Crafty any poetry style around the meaning of ‘craft’ is the challenge. I chose Karan Naidu’s Parallelogram de Crystalline of four tercets with 3,6,9 syllabic count. Its set theme is of a lover described with reference to nature. With poetic licence I’ve dedicated it to the craft of Dylan Thomas.
