I never stoop to selfies but sometimes try to to emulate Vivian Maier and her Self-Portrait reflections – she was after all rather reclusive when it came to selfhood so her camera with its internal mirrors and prism was a subtle way a placing herself into her environs. I sometimes try the Maier style selfie as well, but – probably due to the mirrorless camera – it never turns out as elegant as Vivian’s.
