Day: November 26, 2023

all the thorns remain

Published on 26 Nov 202326 Nov 2023 by Laura Bloomsbury

Oh, Hope! thou soother sweet of human woes!
How shall I lure thee to my haunts forlorn!
For me wilt thou renew the wither’d rose,
And clear my painful path of pointed thorn?

Sunday Sayings: Title and verse from Charlotte Smith’s poem “To Hope” to accompany this photo of an autumn leaf caught in a thorn bush
