He always packed a punch
in English leather – neat as an overnight
lightweight – stratagems of subterfuge
tucked side by side in thigh-tight spaces
an opaque diary of opportunity
contingency plans woven in white linen
whip thin stripes on sharp pressed shirts
razor and cufflinks – uninitialled – annonymous
cologne of-course, a kind of midnight poison
stoppered for nostalgia when the canoodling stops
Some perfume names to play poetry with in Lilian’s Brand Name Noodling
Oh this is such a good job of (ca)noodling with brands! 🙂 Most especially love these two lines:
“whip thin stripes on sharp pressed shirts
razor and cufflinks – uninitialled – annonymous”
and for some reason those whip thin stripes are a detail I find fascinating.
Well done! So glad you posted to the prompt!

it was a delicious delightful prompt Lilian – I loved the connotations that arose from the labels. Could have used pin stripe but whip works better with this dab of vitriol 😉

The “subterfuge,” “diary of opportunity,” and “midnight poison” describe a powerful situation. I think I can understand this suave type of character.
