many thanks Robin – to be frank I was disappointed with a lot of the photos I took on the 6 week road trip so am grateful there were enough that passed muster for the photobook!
I know how that is, Laura. My travel photos never seem to come out as well as I’d like. I think part of it is being in a hurry, trying to see everything we can, and part is just not being familiar with the light (the way I am here at home, for instance).

have been meaning to do this for a long time but as a gift for my companion of the road here – a birthday date helped me complete!
p.s. the Maoris have such poetry in their naming of things -New Zealand/ Aotearoa – land of the long white cloud
