Photo from a visit to Green Park in London which has a notable war memorial to Canadians and so today I remember them.
“The only place that I have found with a bit of colour is where we are camped at now. It is really quite pretty here, as there are masses of all sorts of wildflowers, the prettiest of which are real poppies, and they are blood red, and certainly a sight for sore eyes in the desert.”

Now that is one place I would not expect to see poppies.
makes the wreath even more stark in a park with only flowering daffodils allowed!!
I was actually thinking of the desert.
ah I see what you mean but even the desert blooms!
True, but I did not expect poppies!
nor me but…
Red poppies are remembered at Green Park, in a black and white image. Well done!
a colour palette for the imagination – I guess that is what monochrome does!
