Home is so sad. It stays as it was left,
Phoartry for Phillip Larkin’s ~ Home is so sad …more
Shaped to the comfort of the last to go
As if to win them back. Instead, bereft
…Long fallen wide. You can see how it was:
Look at the pictures and the cutlery.
The music in the piano stool. That vase.
Note: after completing this in photoshop I visualised it as Pandora’s box with all the worlds woes released alongside the figurative Hope but then from Larkin’s poem, I see the spilled vase in which are kept childhood memories of the home we all must leave behind. That is the beauty of abstraction – it permits rather than dictates!
Photoshop Friday – making abstracts from photo edits whilst poetry provides the titles
“The music in the piano stool” … your words painted home within a house.
thanks Breanda – Larkins words certainty seemed to fit this interior
Ah, but those childhood memories of home are so vivid, as I’m sure yours too looking at your beautiful art! 😉
both miasma and fragrancy of emotions stored from childhood and escaping from that vase 😉
