Back to the cold months
my negativity hangs
heavy as festive decor

times were though when warmth
went unwelcomed
when it blemished like a curse
neck up, in a Rudolfesque glow

how I wished then for wintry draughts
for frost to staunch a maiden's blush
to pass unseen in some
blinding blizzard

Just 44 words for Lisa’s quadrille prompt: warm
