Three and Seven

It began, I think, with lucky Three
so when the Venn of Trinity
confirmed a summary purity

it simply had to be, But then
there is recurring Seven
another odd, forgoing even
a number level for a heaven
a prime example of perfection
undivided in completion
which could also be the One

just like the Venn of Trinity
which brings me back again to Three
or even Ten, in sum of numerology

  1. I love your tongue-in-cheek poem, Laura. Although I don’t believe in them either, I do have a lucky number, but I have never told anyone what it is. I love the phrase ‘a prime example of perfection / undivided in completion’.

    1. thank you Kim – my Muse seems to decide what I write and override what I might want to write but I go with the flow – this time a rarity – a poem that fully rhymes.
