It began, I think, with lucky Three
so when the Venn of Trinity
confirmed a summary purity
it simply had to be, But then
there is recurring Seven
another odd, forgoing even
a number level for a heaven
a prime example of perfection
undivided in completion
which could also be the One
just like the Venn of Trinity
which brings me back again to Three
or even Ten, in sum of numerology
For her Poetics prompt: 1,2,3…Go!, Mish asks us to consider numbers and their significance to us. This tongue-in-cheek poem readily evolved around my lucky numbers perhaps because I I hardly believe in them
This is so much fun… I love the prime reference 🙂 even if it do exclude ten
fun with numbers – its one approach!
I love your tongue-in-cheek poem, Laura. Although I don’t believe in them either, I do have a lucky number, but I have never told anyone what it is. I love the phrase ‘a prime example of perfection / undivided in completion’.
thank you Kim – my Muse seems to decide what I write and override what I might want to write but I go with the flow – this time a rarity – a poem that fully rhymes.
My pleasure, Laura.
So clever. The muse amused, most definitely here and the rhyme did not distract at all. Fun stuff, Laura!
thank you Mish especially re the rhymes as I rarely use them!
Laura, numbers are serious but never to be taken seriously.
weight figures indeed but fun sometimes
I enjoyed the word play in this playful poem of numbers.
thank you – it certainly played itself out
One could go on and on analyzing numbers and theological meanings. Well done, Laura.
like the old ‘pack of cards’ song
:>) Yes. counting counting counting…
Great word play Laura and I loved the rhyme 😊
thank you
