One cannot visit Paris without taking one’s nose on a tour of perfumes in the Galeries Lafayette Hausmann – the epitome of art nouveau opulence topped off with a coloured glass and steel cupola that can be admired at a proximity much closer than my camera captured, with a 9-metre-long glass walk, suspended 16 metres above the void of the department store’s central area.
