The Art Gallery

Viewers at the Hilma Af Klint exhibition. She was the real founder of abstract art since some of these painting were done even before Kandinsky put paint down (though none were seen till 20 years after her death according to her will).

And she was sharing the Grand Palais in Paris with Matisse – but it struck me how different an effect the paintings had on the viewers as evidenced by their stances. Matisse evokes movement and Af Klint a kind of spatial geometry.
