The wife

Published on 2 Nov 20262 Nov 2026 by Laura Bloomsbury10 Comments
As a single girl
she'd singe full beards
with the skimpiest of kisses
and sing susurrant lullabies, like a siren
sick of the wrecking crews.

But it was a sin
to spread so much love
so thinly

so I gave it all to you.

Just 44 words for De’s quadrille prompt: sing
