Fan the flames

Please…

no more changing avatars to country flags
no more flowers and balloons
no more empty mouthings
no more bleeding hearts
no more clichés
no more..
please
no more blood lust
no more denial of evil
no more excuses for terror
no more tolerating intolerance
no more fanning the flames of hate

today is Pentecost  –
pray fan the flames of

love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control

Breaking with this blog’s considered silence on world events this once –   two weeks or so ago there were murderous attacks in Kabul and Manchester and now here in London again:
London attacks latest:  7 die & 48 injured in London Bridge and Borough Market van and knife terror

  1. My prayers echo yours my friend as sadness fills my heart, and I too will continue to fan the flames of love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
