Munchkin skateboarders seen in the city

six word saturday - munchkin skateboarder

“They were not as big as the grown folk she had always been used to;
but neither were they very small” ~
L Frank Baum ~ Wonderful Wizard of Oz

At the last moment, I spotted this skateboarder coming round the corner as I was photographing the flower pots – it pays to wait for the shot to come to us

Not only do city office blocks miniaturize our sense of being but street furniture is beginning to tower over us too – even so I do like the giant flowerpots though the gardener in me wonders at the amount of soil needed to fill them. I suspect they have false bottoms(!) as most of the plantings tend to be shallow rooted.

  1. Love this, and the words to go with it are perfect (although I didn’t expect anything less from you 😉 ).

  2. Oh, not false bottoms, Laura! 🙂 🙂 I keep seeing giant deckchairs everywhere. This makes a great photo!
