isolation #14

“From you have I been absent in the spring,
When proud pied April dress’d in all his trim
Hath put a spirit of youth in every thing”…

W. Shakespeare ~ Sonnet 98

Not only is cabin fever beginning to effect many of us but isolation means a total lack of companionship, especially for people like me who live alone. Thus the Bard speaks of not being able to enjoy the Spring because of an absence from a friend/loved one. Nevertheless I try to relish all the delights of new growth that comes with this time of year. Happy April 1st and no fooling!

For as long as I'm well, am posting a pic a day to enhance these Covid-19 times of isolation and lockdown

  1. A lovely shot. Even though I am not alone I am feeling very much locked in and I have a garden and countryside to walk in! It is just so hard to get my head around.
