A gust of wind across the surface of the lake creates a 3-dimensional feel, as though the trees are rolling in on a wave.
and then the watery surface settles back down to reveal a sky studded with altocumulus clouds and bare alder trees

calm enough for floating debris to wander slowly by

Some elemental images which worked best in black and white and hence just right for Monochrome Monday
*applause*
I thank you David – and mother nature does too
The first image is the stand out for me.
thanks David – I’m always interested in what others like
I think I prefer that one because of the balance of trees and clouds reflected in the water.
I like how #2 slips between the clouds off centre
I noticed that when I compared them but I find #2 a bit lopsided if that makes sense
it does and perhaps there’s a certain skew-whiffness in me and my likes 😉
Pure bliss, Laura… every part of this journey.
many thanks Marina – cannot resist the patterning of reflections
…and I’m so happy you can’t! 😉🤗
I fear my photos will start to all look the same though 😉
Oh, I seriously doubt that!
xx
😘
That 3rd picture 😍
aha a different fave Kiki ;0 – taste is so very idiosyncratic which is just as well else photography would be too easily fashioned
Beautiful. ❤
