Permission

Published on 3 Nov 20253 Nov 2025 by Laura Bloomsbury33 Comments
I'm still impressed -
that first kiss
an open door, your leaving
the suddenness of turning back
whirling me round
your lips pressed with passion
with permission
unspoken
we did not need it in writing
in those days, cued
to the body language
of love

Just 44 words for De’s Quadrille prompt: “Take your poetry for a whirl around the block“
