Going walkabout on the first day of Spring, down to our local duck pond and mill dam. Intermittent sunshine, cool temperatures and the weeping willow at its best, I think, before it comes fully into leaf.
[shot on my iPhone 6 so not the best but good enough to cheer as more and more places are in lockdown, shutdown and generally off limits as Covid-19 is gathering pace in the UK.]
For as long as I'm well, am posting a pic a day to enhance these times of isolation
Spring arrived yet my eyes were blind to her arrival. Was it the chill of winter’s last snow or of uncertainty. Thank you for a glimpse of spring.
it seemed only the flowers knew it weatherwise winter kept a hold!
The light on the Willow tree is really nice.
this time of year they are more golden and just right for some Spring sunshine – thank you
I love the colour of the new leaves on weeping willows, so fresh and bright and gold-green. Good that you have somewhere close to be able to walk to that is so pretty. Will you be posting more photos on your NZ blog? I am sure you must have many more photos and now might be as good a time as any to share them.
Yes am thankful for this village like life and rural setting – quite pretty & easier to keep the social distance. Yes am still posting to NZ blog – one in the pipeline and this the other day

And always appreciate a visit from you Diana -thank you to Feedly too
Beautifully sunny pic, Laura! Over here we had pouring rain all day yesterday, so today’s wonderful sunny day seemed to be very soothing – until I went out and almost got swept away by the wind and froze in 5C temps….
Same here – I just would like to switch off the heating now!
